Renee + Angelo's Winter Wedding

Renée and Angelo’s wedding had so many unforgettable elements… epic food, a huge celebration, hilarious speeches, and an incredibly classy atmosphere.
Their reception started with cocktails, where they asked for instrumental jazz to welcome their guests as they mingled in the foyer outside the ballroom. Once the ballroom doors were opened, guests found their way to their seats and soon welcomed the newlyweds and their wedding party into the room.

As for dinner music, the couple’s selection of jazz fit the mood perfectly, and was a great way to include some Italian music for Angelo’s (giant) side of the family. As always, the food by the DoubleTree was fabulous. After dinner, while Renée’s loved ones raved about her many great qualities, Angelo’s friends and family roasted him pretty thoroughly and got everyone in a lighthearted mood for the rest of the night.
One thing Renée and I have in common is an unreasonable amount of love for Billy Joel – so I was, of course, loving their first dance and father/daughter dance song choices.
First Dance: And So It Goes – Billy Joel
Father Daughter Dance: Lullabye – Billy Joel
Mother Son Dance: Le Mamme – Toto Cutugno
Classic Top 40, a few classic Italian pop songs, a bit of hip hop and current Top 40 had both friends and family getting out on the dance floor together.
Here’s what Renée had to say about working with PopJukebox:
“Stacey was UNBELIEVABLE at our wedding. Not only did she listen to exactly the kind of music we wanted played, but adapted on the fly to keep our dance floor pumpin’ the entire night. Every time another song would come on and I was at a table talking to people I wanted to sprint over to the dance floor!!! Can’t recommend highly enough.” – Google Review
On with my favourite part – the dance floor photos! All images by Just Married Photography. Decor by A Chair To Remember.
