Kevin + Danica’s Wedding

Sometimes I get to DJ a wedding where it’s so clear that the couple is not only in love, they’re also best buddies. This was definitely the case for Kevin and Danica, and I truly enjoyed getting to know them before the wedding and celebrating with them on the dance floor.
Danica and Kevin were legally married before their wedding day which meant that they could have a friend who knows them well perform the ceremony. This is suuuuch an awesome idea if you’re able to do so! It adds such a personal and warm vibe to the wedding.

From there, the party flowed easily into cocktail hour and a casual reception. Kevin and Danica had asked me to emcee their wedding as well as DJ, and I remember just how hilarious some of the speeches were. The couple wanted to keep the formalities to a minimum, though, in order to have just that much extra time on the dance floor.
